What is a personal pronoun?

It is used in place of the person that we are talking about. It represents specific objects, 

animals or people.

In a conversation personal pronouns tell us:

• Person: Who is speaking?
• Number: Plural or singular?
• Gender: Feminine, masculine, or neuter?
